Managing the Waste of Me

The other day I was just coming out of a Benadryl Low and was in this semi-drugged/ semi-hung-over state, when I began reminiscing about how great a person I am... (a favorite hobby of mine)

...and I realized that most of the people around me throughout my life had WASTED MY EXAMPLE. (Let that sink in for a minute - it's really deep, especially for me).

This saddened me. I felt almost as if I should cry. But rather than empathize with others (or sympathize? I always confuse the two. Maybe that's why I shy away from doing either..), I just decided that I need to do a better job at reminding those around me of how good an example they have.. in me.

So to all of you who read this, I would just like to say, "Please stop wasting my example. Use it for your own good. Use it for the good of others. Use your own discretion and conscience in determining how to use it. I trust you can and will use it for the betterment of everything in existence. Just PLEASE STOP WASTING MY EXAMPLE. Thank you."

Petey, Petey, Petey. I think you should quit wasting the example of your wife and blog more. On second though, never mind. I'll just start reading her blog to get my Larson fix.

p.s. Catania, I love my Cocomotion too. But I feel justified in using it, considering it is 27 degrees and I drove 2+ hours through 6" of snow to get home from work today.

To pete I must say that i have felt this exact same way at times. I must of course learned it from you and mastered the art of self perfection only by heeding to your perfect humbled self and your beacon of light that shines so bright for us all to see. It guides me down the straight and narrow all the way out here in Nc. Just thought you should know that some of us are following.

Oh Pete...I was waiting to hear some evidence of why your example is one that should be followed...I was dissappointed to hear some ranting without proof to back it up. I know loads of people who always think they're right and that all should heed their word, but they usually are only half right. Not to be a complete doubter, but I'll need more than your rant. Sorry it must be the lawyer in me. However you do get bonus points for marrying my sister, and being good to her.

I'm not sure that I want to acknowledge this blog - I'm not sure I want to encourage this kind of behavior.

However, I do think I should point out to Chandra - I think that I deserve the bonus points in this marriage...

Oh - Jayn, wow. You really are working for that cocomotion...I think that we should all be heeding your example.

jayn - please keep your posts about Cocomotion to Catania's blog. but while we're at it, there is one really lame thing about Cocomotion... CLEANING IT. why can't they make one that is dishwasher safe?

steph - thank you for recognizing The Truth. and being man enough to admit it.

chandra - the proof is in the bonus points.

catania - i may be reading between the lines here, but thank you for all the compliments:)

WHY ARE ONLY WOMEN COMMENTING ON THIS BLOG POST? AM I THE NEW OPRAH?

huh? Clean the Cocomotion? Oh, I guess that's what husbands are for...

smootheP said...

Yeah, tell me about it... husbands everywhere should unite against cleaning their wives' Cocomotions.

I don't even drink hot chocolate. Maybe that is another reason why I really am great. BONUS POINTS!!

pete do you really think YOU should be comparing yourself to "The Oprah?" You should be careful she's pretty much the most powerful PERSON in the world...

Oh and catania explained to me that she should get the points...so your back to square one...

ok pete, so i did try to be on your side here and give you credit where credit is due. While I do have great respect for you, and I am more than willing to admit that there is great amounts due in some places, i prefer the phrases "woman up" and "man down".
ps don't you LOVE the amount of female influences in your life since marrying Catania

As the oldest of 5 siblings I too feel as though my example has been sqandered by the ungrateful masses. Pete, don't let the (wo)MAN hold you down. Only the few chosen can truly follow and emulate our perfection!

chandra - so you spoke to catania about this? and she said she should have the points? and you think that should be proof enough that i should just agree and hand over all my points to her? i'm going to have to use your argument back on you - i need to see some proof before catania gets my points. i love my points.

steph - yes, i enjoy all the benefits of having so many female influences in my life.. like i no longer have a strange/awesome look when i hear the word "panties". it's amazing what 3 girl roommates will do to your natural reactions to certain words. that may be another blog...

lukewarm - thank you for sharing. it is comforting to know that we're not alone. welcome... to the twilight zone.

Latest Cocomotion Wash Count for This Week - 5. That's right, in 5 days. And i would just like to add that The Users of the Cocomotion are really great at over-estimating how many times they have cleaned the Cocomotion in the last 5 days. And under-estimating how many times we men have actually cleaned it. Always in the last 5 days.

As soon as you get your politics straight I'll stop wasting your example.

smootheP said...

marc - is that all i am to you? a political opinion? well i'll give you a political opinion. POLITICS ARE LAME. Not enough? Ok, politicians are lame too. That's where I draw the line in the political sand for this blog.

Way to take a stand!

marc - i guess i'll come to your blog to post on politics, if you really want me to opine. sorry, my blog just isn't the right forum for that discussion. especially as relates to a post about others wasting my example. you mormon democrats are always looking for a debate, aren't you? ;)
